A businessman, political consultant and philanthropist from Puerto Rico, Francisco Domenech is the Managing Partner of POLITANK. POLITANK is a law firm based in Purto Rico that specializes in developing plans with private interest groups as they interface with governmental entities.
Francisco Domenech was educated at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where he obtained both his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science as well as his Juris Doctor degrees. Mr. Domenech excelled not only in his academic studies, but also in his exhibition of leadership, being elected as President of the General Student Body Council for the 1999 – 2000 school year. Expanding the breadth anf depth of his knowledge, Mr. Domenech studied for a semester during law school at the University College London, enrolling in a number of courses in comparative law.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Domenech became involved in the political world. From 2005 to 2008 he was Director of the Office of Legislative Services of the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly. This is analogous to the United States Congress’ Congressional Research Service. Mr. Domenech’s political activity and influence has extended beyond the island of Puerto Rico. From 2007 to 2012 he represented the Young Democrats of America as a member of the Democratic National Committee. Also, in 2008, he worked on Hillary Clinton’s primary campaign in Puerto Rico, acting as her Deputy Campaign Manager. Recognized as an influential leader in Puerto Rico, Francisco Domenech served on Mrs. Clinton’s National Finance Committee and was given the responsibility for organizing her campaign trip to Puerto Rico during the 2016 Presidential election season.
Today Mr. Francisco Domenech continues to work and lead in a number of facets in the private and public sectors. He maintains his Juris Doctor standing with having been admitted to practice law before the courts of the U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Court of International Trade as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Domenech’s leadership in Puerto Rico was recognized in 2016 when he was named as the number one “40 under 40” vote getter by Caribbean Magazine.
