When your loved ones need to move to an assisted living community, you want to make sure that they enjoy their time and are getting the care that they need for a high quality of life. Co-chairman of Sussex Healthcare Shafik Sachedina has a strong background in the field of medicine and brings his knowledge to Sussex Healthcare to make sure that his residents are being treated with the dignity that they deserve. Sussex Healthcare operates a network of care facilities located throughout the Southern coast of England.
Shafik Sachedina is always looking for new ways to ensure that the residents at Sussex are able to stay healthy and active. One of the most recent big changes made to their network was the addition of a state of the art gym for their elderly and disabled residents. This gym is located in West Sussex around the Horsham area but is available for use by residents of multiple Sussex Healthcare facilities.
When the company was designing the gym, Shafik Sachedina made sure that it had some of the best equipment available including free weights and even underwater treadmills. Most of the residents that use the facilities agree that the pool and hot tubs are among the most enjoyable features. This facility was designed to help improve and maintain the residents’ ability to move around freely without cumbersome assistance for as long as possible.
Through hard work and dedication, Sussex has landed itself among the leaders in the industry when it comes to providing care for patients with cognitive disabilities. Each resident of the community is helped with individualized programs to meet their needs that are generally related to neurological or age-related problems. Many adults with cognitive problems can become confused easily and the team at Sussex Healthcare is trained to make sure that they handle these situations in the best way for their residents.
